There are numerous Unix type servers that can be accessed within the Western Sydney computer network. To access these servers when outside of the network, VPN access is required.

File Server

A general purpose server (not intended for intense computing) is provided for storing files, storing git repositories and running cron jobs.

  • staff.scem.westernsydney.edu.au

Mail Server

The mail server mail.cdms.westernsydney.edu.au can be accessed using IMAPS. Mail can be sent using the SMTP server smtp.cdms.westernsydney.edu.au; mail sent to this server is not authenticated and so VPN access to the WSU network is required.

GPU Servers

  • bd-client-01.scem.westernsydney.edu.au
  • bd-client-02.scem.westernsydney.edu.au
  • bd-client-03.scem.westernsydney.edu.au
  • bd-client-04.scem.westernsydney.edu.au

HPC Cluster

Access to the High Performance Computing cluster is granted using the frontend server cody.scem.westernsydney.edu.au. Jobs are submitted on the server using SLURM.
