The School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences has an excellent academic support team to assist academics in ensuring quality and integrity in our degrees.

Curriculum Officer

The Curriculum Officer is the first point of call for any curriculum related matters. They assist with the creation and modification of curriculum (e.g. programs, fields of study, subjects), project manage curriculum changes through the university approvals process and advise on AQF requirements and university policy. The CDMS Curriculum Officer is Mary Haropoulou. Please use the Curriculum Team Request Form as a first point of contact for curriculum related matters.


Educational Advisor

The CDMS educational advisor is able to assist in creating and modifying Program and Subject Learning Outcomes, and mapping Program Learning Outcomes to Graduate Attributes and the use of appropriate assessment types. The CDMS educational advisor is Marc Noakes.

Curriculum Data Management Analyst

The curriculum data management analyst assists with creating and updating curriculum information on the Web (such as handbook pages), updates all back-office systems and advises on system related rules. The CDMS curriculum data management analyst is Frances Campbell.

School Librarian

The CDMS school librarian can assist in finding and choosing library resources for use in teaching and research. The CDMS school librarian is Linda Thornely.

Student Misconduct Team

The student misconduct team is able to assist in managing the student misconduct process (i.e. sending out misconduct letters, organising misconduct meetings). To initiate the misconduct process, send an email to CDMS-Misconduct@westernsydney.edu.au containing:

  • Subject ID and name
  • Student ID and name
  • Assessment task/type (group/individual)
  • Due date
  • Weight
  • Misconduct type (Plagiarism/collusion/cheating or other)
  • A short description of the misconduct for each student
  • Attachment of evidence
  • Attachment of Learning Guide
