After the semester has finished and the student results have been released, there are a few maintenance tasks that need attention.
Exam Viewing
After the results have been released, students can book a time with you to view their exam and how it was marked. Rather than having students email you and book individual times that could span weeks, it is more efficient to place an announcement on vUWS telling students that you are available for exam viewing on a certain date. That way any students who want to view their exams can come at that dedicated time and then focus on the upcoming semester.
Exam Storage
Exams can be used to verify marks and examine student performance. Exams must be kept for a year after the semester they were completed. Make sure to keep the exams in a secure place.
Exam Disposal
During this time, examine the exams stored from previous sessions and dispose of any that are more than a year old. Exams must be disposed in a special secure (locked) bin.
Oral Exam Recordings
Recordings from oral exams must also be kept in a secure place for one year. Any recordings older than one year must be securely deleted.
